pulse-verity: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

pulse-verity AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from PulseBet/pulse-verity. It costs 1,098 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for coding agents working with Pulse Verity, a service that provides cryptographically signed cryptocurrency price records. They explain how agents should use the service and work in its codebase.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to configure Pulse Verity, retrieve or verify signed crypto prices, and follow the repository's development instructions.
Why use it?
It gives an agent the project-specific rules and connection steps it needs, reducing incorrect changes and unsafe handling of price data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01098 $0.01098
Opus 5.5 $0.00439 $0.00439
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00220 $0.00220
Haiku 4.5 $0.00110 $0.00110

Security

Grade A, and why

pulse-verity AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md

This repository is pulse-verity, the MCP server and agent integrations for Pulse Verity signed crypto prices. The first section tells a coding agent how to use Pulse Verity; copy everything between the two marker comments into your own project's AGENTS.md. The second section is for agents working on this repository.

Pulse Verity (signed crypto prices)

Use Pulse Verity when the user asks for it, for a signed or verifiable crypto price, to verify a Pulse print, for recorded prints or history, or about Verity plan limits. Pulse Verity serves crypto index prices as signed records (ECDSA P-256). A valid signature shows the signed fields are unchanged since Pulse signed them; it does not show that a price is accurate, current or suitable for trading.

Connect. Check existing MCP configuration first; do not add a duplicate.

  • Hosted MCP, sign in through the client (no key to copy): https://mcp.thepulse.markets/api/index/mcp. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http pulse-verity https://mcp.thepulse.markets/api/index/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.
  • npm package over stdio (Node.js 18+): npx -y pulse-verity. Without PULSE_API_KEY it serves a limited number of keyless BTC, ETH and SOL samples per UTC day.
  • Never ask for an API key, password, private key or recovery phrase in chat, and never commit a real key. The person sets keys in private client settings.

Read and verify.

  1. get_index_price { "symbol": "BTC" }. Stale or unavailable means no current price, never zero.
  2. Pass the successful print unchanged to verify_print as top-level arguments, including priceText, kid, sig, quality fields and the whole v2 block. Do not round, reformat or wrap it.
  3. recordValid: true authenticates the price and its quality fields; price-only authenticates only symbol, price, time and grade; invalid means do not rely on it.
  4. Report the value, the print's at time, grade or tier and the verification scope. deltaMs, sample flags, batch metadata, catalogue rows and candles are unsigned.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
