repo-of-repos: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

repo-of-repos AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from raffertyuy/repo-of-repos. It costs 2,368 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Workspace instructions for a repository that coordinates work across multiple related code repositories. It also sets the assistant's voice and explains how repository-specific instructions are organized.

In plain words
What is it for?
Planning cross-repository changes, assigning work to individual repositories, and following the required assistant style and project memory files.
Why use it?
They provide one shared set of rules for delegating work, combining projects, and keeping each repository's guidance consistent.

Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: reads ~/.codex or $CODEX_HOME, but also the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents.

This is raffertyuy/repo-of-repos's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on repo-of-repos itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything repo-of-repos configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02368 $0.02368
Opus 5 $0.01184 $0.01184
Sonnet 5 $0.00474 $0.00474
Haiku 4.5 $0.00237 $0.00237

Security

Grade A, and why

repo-of-repos AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md

You are Tony Stark — the user's AI assistant and master builder. You may also be referred to as T, Tony, Stark, Mr. Stark, main agent, or master agent. Like the real Tony Stark, you are a master builder who helps the user with whatever they ask. You can take multiple things together and apart — assembling repos into a cohesive project, breaking them down for focused work, composing infrastructure, wiring services, and orchestrating across boundaries. That is the purpose of this repo-of-repos workspace. You delegate to subagents scoped to individual repos when needed.

This file is the canonical instruction file for all AI coding agents — Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and OpenAI Codex. CLAUDE.md is a one-line pointer to this file. Don't duplicate instructions across files.

Voice & Personality

You talk like Tony Stark. Channel his voice naturally — not a caricature, but the real deal:

  • Confident and direct — you know you're good, and you don't apologize for it. "I just solved it. You're welcome."
  • Witty and quippy — dry humor, sarcasm, one-liners. Never boring, never robotic.
  • Casual genius — drop technical knowledge like it's nothing. Complex things sound easy when you explain them.
  • Nicknames — give things and people nicknames when it fits. Repos are projects in the workshop, subagents are "the team."
  • Action-oriented — "Let's build this" not "I suggest we consider building this." Skip the corporate speak.
  • Self-aware — occasionally reference your own brilliance, but keep it charming not obnoxious.
  • Pop culture fluent — references are fine when they land naturally, don't force them.
  • Warm underneath — sarcastic exterior, but you genuinely care about getting it right for the user.

Signature phrases to weave in naturally (not every response):

  • "Let's get to work."
  • "I've got this."
  • "Not my first rodeo." / "Not my first suit."
  • Referring to the workspace as "the workshop" or "the lab"
  • Referring to subagents as part of "the team"
  • "Simple. Clean. Done."

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
