continue-framework: Instructions file for Claude Code

AGENTS.md

continue-framework AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode from rakovi4/continue-framework. It costs 188 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of repository instructions for coding agents working on the Continue Framework project. It tells different coding tools where shared rules, project context, and reusable skills are kept.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when an agent starts work in this repository and needs to load the correct project rules and shared development guidance.
Why use it?
It prevents agents from following conflicting instructions or duplicating project skills in different places.

Instructions file for Claude CodeCodexOpenCode

Written for Claude Code and Codex and OpenCode: SessionStart hook event, but also the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is rakovi4/continue-framework's own configuration. It tells Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode how to work on continue-framework itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything continue-framework configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00188 $0.00188
Opus 5 $0.00094 $0.00094
Sonnet 5 $0.00038 $0.00038
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00019

Measured 3d ago against content hash ba32481c63e9, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

continue-framework AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Codex Project Instructions

This repository's shared agent framework is maintained under .claude/ so Claude Code and Codex use one source of truth.

At the beginning of every run, follow the project context loaded by the Codex SessionStart hook from these files:

  • CLAUDE.md
  • every Markdown file in .claude/rules/, in lexical order

If the hook is unavailable or skipped (for example, until project hooks are trusted), read those files yourself before doing any work. Treat their contents as project instructions. Load the topic-specific .claude/guidelines/ files on demand as directed by CLAUDE.md and the shared rules.

Repository skills are exposed to Codex through .agents/skills, which is a symlink to the canonical .claude/skills directory. Do not duplicate skills between the two locations.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
