Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00813 | $0.00813 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00407 | $0.00407 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00163 | $0.00163 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00081 | $0.00081 |
Grade A, and why
nova3d-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 67 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md
This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.
What this is
An MCP server that wraps Nova3D's hosted 3D generation API as callable tools for Claude Code and other MCP-compatible agents. Users authenticate with a Nova3D API key; provider key handling lives in the Nova3D account/backend flow.
Commands
# First-time setup — create venv and install dev dependencies
python3.10 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -e ".[dev]"
# Run tests (venv must be active)
pytest
# Run a single test
pytest tests/test_client.py::test_generate_success
# Run the server locally
python -m nova3d_mcp.server
# or after install:
nova3d-mcp
# Lint
ruff check .
Package layout note
The source directory on disk is nova3d_mcp/ (underscore), matching the Python import name. Always activate .venv before running tests.
Architecture
Four-file package:
-
nova3d_mcp/server.py— FastMCP server. Registers 5 tools (generate_3d,regenerate_part,add_part,articulate_model,get_generation_status). Each tool creates aNova3DClientcontext manager, calls the matching method, and maps the result to a flat dict. Auth (NOVA3D_TOKEN) and base URL (NOVA3D_API_URL) are read from env inside each tool call. -
nova3d_mcp/client.py— Async HTTP client wrappinghttpx.AsyncClient. Workflow pattern: readiness check → POST/run/state/{workflow}→ poll/status/{id}every 3 s until terminal → GET/result/{id}. Transient 404/502/503/504 errors during polling are retried via_is_recoverable(). Auth and budget errors are never retried. Workflow IDs are microsecond timestamps (state-{epoch_us}). -
nova3d_mcp/models.py— Pydantic models.GenerationResult.from_api()contains all response-parsing logic — the Nova3D API response structure is nested and has multiple fallback key paths (e.g.model_urlvsmodel_artifact.url).WorkflowState.parse()normalizes state strings ("succeeded"→COMPLETED, etc.) andis_terminaldrives the polling loop.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nova3d-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository RareSense/nova3d-mcp (5 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 813 tokens to every session, about $0.0041 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
