Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00550 | $0.00550 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00275 | $0.00275 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00110 | $0.00110 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00055 | $0.00055 |
Grade A, and why
spare-me CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 44 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md
spare-me's own project brief. This is a self-bootstrapping project: we build an "AI mistake-memory" skill, and this repo follows the same rules it teaches.
What this project is
spare-me is a Claude Code skill: when the AI detects the user is clearly angry, it opens with a dramatic funny apology (Spare me, Your Majesty! / I deserve death!) tagged with the skill name, traces back the last turn to find the mistake, and writes the reason into permanent memory so it never repeats.
skills/spare-me/SKILL.mdis the product itself (pure Markdown, natively loadable by Claude Code).bin/spare-me.js+src/are the installer and the memory health-check tool.
Common commands
npm test # run tests (Node built-in test runner, zero deps)
node bin/spare-me.js try # print a random funny apology (easter egg)
node bin/spare-me.js init --yes --dir <project> # install the skill into any project
node bin/spare-me.js doctor --dir <project> # health-check the mistake memory
Directory layout
skills/ # the product: spare-me's SKILL.md
src/ # CLI logic: cli / init / skills / memory / doctor / render / phrases
bin/ # executable entry (thin shell)
test/ # Node test runner tests
docs/ # skill deep-dive
Engineering conventions
- English identifiers, English comments that explain why, not what.
- Commit messages follow Conventional Commits (see commit-zh if present).
- Zero dependencies is a hard constraint: Node standard library only, no npm deps.
- Tests must cover every module in src/; any change to src/ requires
npm test. - When CLI output changes, update the README demo text to match.
Watch out
src/memory.js'sparseEntriesstrips HTML comments first — the format examples in the memory template are comments, not live records; don't convert them, ordoctorwill report false entries.- The frontmatter
descriptioninskills/spare-me/SKILL.mddrives skill triggering — if you change trigger words, updatesrc/skills.js'sSKILL_METAandsrc/init.js'sCLAUDE_RULEtoo. - The README is the storefront — when you add commands or features, update the README demo text.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

spare-me CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository RazorEdge-wyh/spare-me (2 stars, last pushed 19d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 550 tokens to every session, about $0.0028 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings.
