jj-skill AGENTS.md

jj-skill AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from RealAdarsh/jj-skill. It costs 215 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for maintaining the RealAdarsh/jj-skill project and its shared AGENTS.md guidance. AGENTS.md is a file that tells coding agents how to work in a repository, while Jujutsu is a version-control system.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when updating SKILL.md, supporting reference files, agent-specific instruction files, or the project's source references. It also guides checks against official Jujutsu documentation.
Why use it?
It identifies the main workflow file and keeps instructions consistent across different coding-agent tools. This helps prevent duplicated or conflicting guidance when the project changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00215 $0.00215
Opus 5 $0.00108 $0.00108
Sonnet 5 $0.00043 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00021

Measured 3d ago against content hash 685ec9ac4af8, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

jj-skill AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md

Shared instructions for AI coding agents working in this repository.

Goal

Maintain and improve the reusable Jujutsu skill in this repository so it works reliably across agent runtimes.

Canonical Source of Truth

  1. Treat SKILL.md as the canonical workflow.
  2. Keep supporting references in references/ concise and task-focused.
  3. Keep UI metadata in agents/openai.yaml aligned with skill behavior.

Cross-Agent Compatibility Rules

  1. Keep instructions deterministic and non-interactive by default.
  2. Use small, composable instruction files (AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, GEMINI.md) instead of duplicating large prompt blocks.
  3. Preserve identical operational guidance across adapters unless the platform requires a clear exception.

Update Workflow

  1. Validate command examples against official Jujutsu docs before editing workflows.
  2. Update SKILL.md first.
  3. Update references and adapters after core changes.
  4. Update references/sources.md when adding or replacing external guidance.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
