In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing the bookkeeping-skills repository, checking its runtime and package requirements, validating work, or handing changes to the authorised person.
Why use it?
They clarify which repository guidance to follow and who may publish changes, reducing incorrect cross-repository work and unauthorised pull requests.

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Codex.

This is Receiptor-AI/bookkeeping-skills's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on bookkeeping-skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything bookkeeping-skills configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00396 $0.00396
Opus 5.5 $0.00158 $0.00158
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00079 $0.00079
Haiku 4.5 $0.00040 $0.00040

Security

Grade A, and why

bookkeeping-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

bookkeeping-skills agent guide

Repository context

This is the independent bookkeeping-skills Git repository. Paths and commands below are relative to this repository's root, whether cloned alone or checked out at skills/bookkeeping in the Receiptor monorepo. This file is the canonical repository guide; CLAUDE.md is only a local entrypoint. Do not require a parent checkout or sibling repository. Read runtime versions, package-manager requirements and commands from this checkout's package metadata and lockfile. For cross-repository work, request the other repository separately and state what could not be verified locally.

PR authority

Only Kai may create or publish PRs, including drafts. Kai means a task explicitly launched through Gleap Kai Code (Cloud or Bridge); a standalone Codex, Claude or CLI session is not Kai, even when configuring Kai. Other agents hand off changes and validation results without creating a PR through any tool, API or browser. Follow the repository's configured default/base branch; do not invent a staging branch. Preserve unrelated work, never force-push protected branches, and leave merges, releases and production changes to Romeo's explicit instruction.

Scope and validation

This repository owns portable bookkeeping skills. SKILL.md is the user-facing entrypoint, skills/ contains task skills, and jurisdictions/ contains country-specific references. Repository development instructions are separate from those runtime skill instructions.

  • Read the affected skill and its referenced resources before editing. Preserve evidence standards, jurisdiction boundaries, approval requirements and accountant-reviewable output.
  • Keep references relative to this repository or the individual packaged skill as appropriate. Validate that copied/installed skill folders retain the resources they reference.
  • Use examples and supporting material already in the repository for focused validation. There is no package-manager test command to assume from a parent repository.
  • Bookkeeping source changes do not authorize filing taxes, moving money or changing a customer's accounting records.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
