uhc-auth-proxy: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

uhc-auth-proxy CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from RedHatInsights/uhc-auth-proxy. It costs 202 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for a Go authentication proxy, including its build, test, lint, and continuous-integration checks. An authentication proxy sits between clients and a service to handle identity checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building, testing, linting, or validating Go changes and configuration files in the proxy.
Why use it?
It records the exact checks used in CI, including race detection, so local verification matches the project’s automated checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00202 $0.00202
Opus 5.5 $0.00081 $0.00081
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00040 $0.00040
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00020

Security

Grade A, and why

uhc-auth-proxy CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Commands

# Build
go build ./...

# Test (matches CI)
go test -v -race --coverprofile=coverage.txt --covermode=atomic ./...

# Lint (matches GitHub Actions golangci-lint workflow)
golangci-lint run

CI Checks on PRs

  • golangci-lint runs on every PR via GitHub Actions. Fix all lint errors before pushing.
  • Konflux/Tekton builds a container image and runs go test -v -race ./... on every PR.
  • JSON/YAML files are validated automatically; malformed config files will fail CI.

Notes for Claude Code

  • There is no Makefile. Use go build and go test directly.
  • The -race flag is required in CI — run tests with it locally to catch data races before pushing.
  • Do not add a Makefile unless explicitly requested.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
