Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.02570 | $0.02570 |
| Opus 5 | $0.01285 | $0.01285 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00514 | $0.00514 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00257 | $0.00257 |
Grade A, and why
harness-anchor CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 141 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

If You Are an AI Agent Editing This Plugin
Stop. Read this before doing anything.
harness-anchor is behaviour-shaping infrastructure — its skills and hooks govern how OTHER agents behave in OTHER repositories. Edits here have outsized impact. A poorly tuned SKILL.md description will fail to trigger in real sessions; a too-fat SessionStart injection wastes context budget on every conversation; an over-eager PostToolUse hook blocks productive work.
Your job is to protect the user from your own enthusiasm. Do not:
- Add features that aren't in the maintainer's approved plan (kept locally under
~/.claude/plans/) - Rewrite skill descriptions to "comply with Anthropic best practices" without evals proving improvement
- Add MCP server dependencies — this plugin is zero-dependency by design (bash + git)
- Add
blockbehavior to hooks — the entire design is warn-only (see plan §"决策") - Bundle changes to unrelated layers in one commit
Design Invariants (do not break)
- Warn-only hooks. No PostToolUse / Stop / UserPromptSubmit hook may produce JSON with
"permissionDecision": "deny"or"stopReason". PostToolUse / UserPromptSubmit / SessionStart surfaceadditionalContextfor self-correction; the Stop event has noadditionalContextchannel, so its reminder usessystemMessage(still non-blocking — neverdecision: "block"). PreCompact likewise reaches only the user (a marker file +systemMessage) — the agent gets no turn before compaction runs, so the actionable pre-compaction warning lives in the PostToolUse watermark stages. - SessionStart token budget ≤ 3000 tokens. Roughly 12000 chars of injected content. Hard-truncate with a pointer to the on-disk file. The meta-skill body is injected slimmed (frontmatter stripped; conditional regions dropped when their gate doesn't match —
cpp-onlyby project type,os-<name>by HA_OS platform) — headroom belongs to the project-specific TOC/handoff, not to a fatter generic body. - Subagents are single-level. Every subagent prompt must end with: "Do not invoke other subagents from this one."
- State files are git-tracked by default.
.harness-anchor/(error log dir) is the only gitignored runtime path. - C/C++ components stay dormant in non-C/C++ projects — through two different
gates, and only one of them is
cpp-detect.sh. That script is the mechanical gate: it sets the banner's project type, decides whether the meta-skill'scpp-onlyregions are injected at all, and makes/cpp-init(exit 3) and/sanitizerefuse outright. It does not gate skill loading — skills are selected by description matching, and nothing consultscpp-detect.shat the moment one loads. So the gate on the skills is their own frontmatter: everyskills/cpp-*description must scope itself to C/C++ within its first 80 characters, the window invariant #6 says carries the load. That string is the only thing between a clang-tidy skill and a Python repo. Enforced byvalidate-anchor[3-4/12].
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

harness-anchor CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository Redtropig/harness-anchor (13 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 2,570 tokens to every session, about $0.0128 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
