episko AGENTS.md

episko AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from respeak-io/episko. It costs 207 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for episko, a software project. They tell coding agents which guides to read before changing code and how to structure provider-specific behavior.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when modifying sessions, agents, inspectors, usage, history, approvals, launching, resuming, or provider integrations in episko.
Why use it?
They reduce the risk of changing code in the wrong place or breaking shared behavior. They also define the build and test checks required before handoff.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00207 $0.00207
Opus 5 $0.00103 $0.00103
Sonnet 5 $0.00041 $0.00041
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00021

Measured 5d ago against content hash 4a17354552ec, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

episko AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Repository instructions

CLAUDE.md is the comprehensive project guide despite its historical filename. Read it before changing this repository, then read the matching deep-dive document it links for the area being changed.

For any coding-agent, session, inspector, usage, history, approval, launch or resume change, read docs/providers.md first. Its central invariant is mandatory:

Shared features depend on capabilities; only provider adapters depend on vendors.

Do not add a vendor-specific branch to shared UI or state logic. Define neutral Sess state / AgentEvents, gate genuinely optional behavior with hasAgentCapability, implement every provider that claims the capability, and leave an intentional terminal-only fallback. Provider-native code belongs under src/providers/ or at the backend control-plane boundary in src-tauri/src/agent.rs.

Run the frontend build/tests and the Rust check/tests/Clippy gates listed in CLAUDE.md before handing off a change.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
