AGENTS.md

mcp-canada AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from ReyemTech/mcp-canada. It costs 258 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository instruction file for the mcp-canada project. It tells coding agents how to review changes, including checking pagination, option handling, error types, and other correctness issues.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when reviewing pull requests or changes in this repository, especially code that reads catalogs, handles request parameters, or maps errors.
Why use it?
It gives reviews consistent project-specific rules instead of relying only on general code-review habits. It helps catch incomplete data, ignored settings, and misleading failures.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00258 $0.00258
Opus 5.5 $0.00103 $0.00103
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00052 $0.00052
Haiku 4.5 $0.00026 $0.00026

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp-canada AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Repository guidance

Read CONTRIBUTING.md for contribution checks and CLAUDE.md for module conventions and upstream portal facts.

Commits, PR titles/descriptions, and review comments must not contain model/tool attribution, generated-by footers, session links, or AI co-author trailers.

Code Review Rules

  • Verify pagination and complete aggregation against actual catalog sizes. A large page size is not proof of completeness. Require multi-page coverage or explicit disclosure of partial results; otherwise categories and counts can be misleading.
  • Trace public parameters through shared helpers to the response. Flag options that are ignored, change only cache keys, or fail their documented contract. Check both sides of boolean options and limit/offset boundaries.
  • Preserve error blame: caller mistakes use InvalidInput; upstream decoding, schema, network, and response-shape failures stay upstream errors. Report concrete misclassification or silently accepted failures with the triggering condition.

Focus on actionable correctness issues introduced by a PR, including P2 defects. Leave mechanical lint, typing, test execution, and catalog freshness checks to CI. State what was not verified; the maintainer retains the merge decision.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
