ai-daily-briefing: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

ai-daily-briefing AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Rion-Wu-tech/ai-daily-briefing. It costs 410 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

An AGENTS.md runbook for a tool that creates daily AI and Web3 briefings. A runbook is a practical guide covering how an agent should work in a repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Installing dependencies, running sample or live briefings, checking code, and handling failures when external websites change.
Why use it?
It tells agents which language and workflow to use, how to run offline checks, and which personal files or generated outputs must not be changed or committed.

This is Rion-Wu-tech/ai-daily-briefing's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on ai-daily-briefing itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ai-daily-briefing configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00410 $0.00410
Opus 5 $0.00205 $0.00205
Sonnet 5 $0.00082 $0.00082
Haiku 4.5 $0.00041 $0.00041

Measured 10d ago against content hash b9c3070faa0d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-daily-briefing AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md - Codex Runbook

  • 不要擅自修改 SOUL.mdUSER.mdMEMORY.mdmemory/*.mdHEARTBEAT.md 这类个人上下文文件,除非用户明确要求。
  • 不要提交每天生成的简报文件;输出应写到 outputs/briefing_*.txt/md/json,这些已在 .gitignore

python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
python briefing.py --dry-run --no-save
python -m unittest discover -s tests

python briefing.py --dry-run

python briefing.py

Markdown
python briefing.py --format markdown

python briefing.py --format json --no-save

python -m compileall briefing.py
python -m unittest discover -s tests
python briefing.py --dry-run --no-save

python briefing.py --no-save

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
