AGENTS.md

fireflyiii-mcp-daften AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Rizz22/fireflyiii-mcp-daften. It costs 7,632 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Shared project instructions for an MCP server that connects Claude Code to Firefly III, a personal-finance application. They describe the project, its TypeScript architecture, available tools, transports, and environment variables.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing, configuring, testing, or documenting the Firefly III MCP server and its tools, authentication, or stdio and HTTP connections.
Why use it?
They give coding assistants the context needed to change the server without breaking its financial-data integrations or connection methods.

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why

fireflyiii-mcp-daften AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

MCP server for Firefly III — Project Documentation

Project Overview

MCP server for Firefly III is a TypeScript implementation of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that bridges Claude Code to a running Firefly III personal finance instance. This is a greenfield, open-source project (MIT license).

Users can query their finances in natural language through Claude, getting answers about accounts, transactions, budgets, categories, bills, piggy banks, and financial insights without writing queries themselves.

Current state: 140 tools across 14 groups, full CRUD, stdio and HTTP (OAuth or PAT) transports, tool filtering via --preset/--groups/--read-only.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
