Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01869 | $0.01869 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00934 | $0.00934 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00374 | $0.00374 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00187 | $0.00187 |
Grade A, and why
geoservercloud-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 152 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CLAUDE.md
This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.
What this is
A standalone MCP server that exposes GeoServer's REST API as ~76 natural-language
tools for AI assistants. It is a thin wrapper over the
python-geoservercloud
library, which it depends on as a PyPI package (geoservercloud) — it does not
vendor or modify it.
Tracking upstream
The library is a normal dependency in pyproject.toml (geoservercloud = ">=0.8.7").
To pick up upstream changes there is no merge — just bump the dependency:
poetry add geoservercloud@latest # or edit the pin, then `poetry lock`
After bumping, run poetry run pytest: the coverage guard (see "Adding a new MCP
tool") flags any new upstream methods that lack a tool.
Working in this repo (important)
mainis branch-protected. All changes go through a PR — you cannotgit push origin maindirectly, and force-pushes are blocked. A PR only merges once theLint and testCI check is green (no approval required — self-merge is fine). Escape hatch if ever needed: disable the rule in Settings → Branches, orgh api -X DELETE repos/ronitjadhav/geoservercloud-mcp/branches/main/protection.- Push only to
origin(ronitjadhav/geoservercloud-mcp). There is noupstreamremote anymore (the repo was detached from its fork network); never force-push unless explicitly asked. - CI runs
pre-commitwith noSKIP, so every hook (black, isort, prettier, bandit, mypy, ripsecrets, check-dependabot, …) is enforced. Run it locally before pushing.pre-commitisn't a poetry dep; install it withpip install --user --break-system-packages pre-commitif missing.
Docs site (app/)
A Vue 3 + Vite neobrutalist single-page site deployed to GitHub Pages at
https://geoservermcp.maplabs.tech. Source is in app/; it is
not part of the Python package.
Keep it in sync. Whenever you touch anything user-facing — new tools, new
install method, changed env vars, new client support — also update the relevant
copy in app/src/App.vue. The things most likely to drift:
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
