Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.05249 | $0.05249 |
| Opus 5 | $0.02625 | $0.02625 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.01050 | $0.01050 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00525 | $0.00525 |
Grade A, and why
nutrition-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 265 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Project Overview
nutrition-mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for nutrition-related functionality, built with Bun and TypeScript. Entry point is src/index.ts. Server version must be updated in three places: package.json, src/mcp.ts (McpServer constructor), and server.json. The server icon is at public/favicon.ico. Tool call analytics (duration, success/failure, error category) are tracked via src/analytics.ts and persisted to the tool_analytics table in the local PostgreSQL database.
Running / deploying
The runtime server runs locally on this machine — there is no second server, no DigitalOcean, and no auto-deploy. bun run src/index.ts serves http://localhost:8080/mcp against the local PostgreSQL database nutrition_mcp (postgres://localhost:5432/nutrition_mcp). Merging to main only updates the source repository on GitHub; nothing ships anywhere. To apply a source change, restart the local server (bun --watch src/index.ts restarts automatically). Apply schema changes locally with psql per the README "Self-hosting" migration list. Registry/npm publishing (next section) is discovery metadata only and never deploys or affects the running server.
Publishing to the registry
Legacy tail from the original hosted project, and rarely required — publishing only refreshes MCP Registry discovery metadata and has no effect on the locally-running server. The MCP Registry is only discovery metadata pointing at https://nutrition-mcp.com/mcp, so a fix takes effect without republishing. To refresh the registry listing on a release, bump the version in all three places above, merge to main, then push a matching v* tag:
git tag v1.13.3 && git push origin v1.13.3
The .github/workflows/publish-mcp.yml workflow then runs the tests, verifies the tag matches server.json's version, and publishes via mcp-publisher using GitHub OIDC (no secrets). Each published version must be unique and is immutable once published, so always tag a fresh version — never re-tag an already-published one.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nutrition-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository RootMePLS/nutrition-mcp (0 stars, last pushed 26d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 5,249 tokens to every session, about $0.0262 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
