ruah-orch copilot-instructions.md

ruah-orch copilot-instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from ruah-dev/ruah-orch. It costs 305 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Editor instructions for ruah-orch, a Node.js command-line tool that coordinates multiple AI agents working on the same codebase. They define expectations for AI-assisted changes, including testing, formatting, secret checks, and conservative edits.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when proposing or implementing ruah-orch changes, running lint and tests, checking for exposed secrets, or preparing a conventional commit.
Why use it?
They help an agent avoid unsafe repository changes and verify proposed work against the project's required checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00305 $0.00305
Opus 5 $0.00152 $0.00152
Sonnet 5 $0.00061 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00030 $0.00030

Measured 4d ago against content hash e7e86888b592, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ruah-orch copilot-instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Copilot Instructions — @ruah-dev/orch

Generated from governance.md

Multi-agent orchestration CLI. Workspace isolation, DAG scheduling, file locking, merge coordination.

Runtimes

node

Quality Gates

When you propose changes, the following checks must pass before commit:

  • lint & format: npx @biomejs/biome check --write .
  • lint & format: npx @biomejs/biome check .
  • test: node --test test/*.test.js

Expectations for AI-Assisted Code

  1. Run gates before suggesting a commit. If you cannot run them (no shell access), explicitly remind the human to run them.
  2. Respect classifications. MANDATORY gates must pass. OPTIONAL gates should pass but may be overridden with a note. ADVISORY gates are informational only.
  3. Respect workspace paths. When a gate is scoped to a subdirectory, run it from that directory.
  4. No hardcoded secrets. Never commit values matching sk_live, sk_test, AKIA, or password = "…".
  5. Conventional commits for all changes.
  6. Conservative changes. Do not rewrite unrelated files. Do not add new dependencies without explaining why.

Tool Context

The governance.md file is the authoritative source for quality gates and conventions.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
