skills AGENTS.md

skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from ryvn-technologies/skills. It costs 556 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for the Ryvn skills plugin, which provides agent skills in the Agent Skills format. They explain how to route requests to the right reference and use the Ryvn command-line tool.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when installing or authenticating Ryvn, deploying environments, managing configuration, or monitoring and recovering Ryvn resources.
Why use it?
They help an agent find the relevant instructions before changing settings, deploying services, or investigating failures, reducing guesswork across different operations.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00556 $0.00556
Opus 5 $0.00278 $0.00278
Sonnet 5 $0.00111 $0.00111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00056 $0.00056

Security

Grade A, and why

skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Ryvn Skills Plugin

Agent skill for Ryvn, following the Agent Skills format.

Skill model

This plugin ships one Ryvn skill:

  • plugins/ryvn/skills/use-ryvn/SKILL.md

use-ryvn is route-first. Routing rules and intent mapping live in SKILL.md.

Reference loading pattern

  1. Read plugins/ryvn/skills/use-ryvn/SKILL.md.
  2. Choose the minimum reference set needed for the request.
  3. For multi-step requests, load multiple references and compose one response.

References:

Intent Reference Use for
Install, authenticate, configure profiles references/setup.md CLI installation, auth, profiles, service accounts, config files
Deploy environments or services references/deploy.md Environment provisioning, installation deployment, task approval, promotions
Manage resources and configuration references/configure.md Blueprints, connections, variable groups, release channels, GitOps sync
Monitor, debug, and recover references/operate.md Logs, task management, failure triage, provisioner daemon

Architecture

CLI first

Use the Ryvn CLI for all operations.

  • Command: ryvn
  • Prefer -o json output where available.

Configuration

  • Primary config: ~/.ryvn/credentials.yaml (profile-based)
  • Legacy config: ~/.ryvn/config.yaml (auto-migrated)
  • Local overrides: .ryvn/settings.yaml

Authoring guidance

When editing this plugin:

  • Keep SKILL.md focused on routing, preflight, composition, and common operations.
  • Keep references organized by information type (setup, deploy, configure, operate).
  • Document observable behavior only: commands, inputs, outputs, error messages, and hazards. Internal architecture, in-flight migration sequencing, and roadmap stay out. State what happens, not why the codebase behaves that way.
  • Keep references action-oriented with reasoning. Explain why the reader would run something, not why the implementation works the way it does.
  • Verify CLI behavior claims against the Ryvn CLI source code, then describe the behavior a user sees rather than the code that produces it.
  • Bump version in plugins/ryvn/.claude-plugin/plugin.json in any PR that changes skill content.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
