s2-sdk-typescript: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

s2-sdk-typescript AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from s2-streamstore/s2-sdk-typescript. It costs 246 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for maintaining a TypeScript SDK, a library that lets programs use the S2 durable streams API. TypeScript is JavaScript with type checking.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing the SDK to run its checks and tests, regenerate API code correctly, add a changeset, and test behavior across components.
Why use it?
They define the required checks, generated-code boundaries, release notes, commit format, and tests needed before changes are committed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00246 $0.00246
Opus 5.5 $0.00098 $0.00098
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00049 $0.00049
Haiku 4.5 $0.00025 $0.00025

Security

Grade A, and why

s2-sdk-typescript AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent Instructions

  • Use bun. Don't change dependencies or bun.lock unless asked.
  • Run bun run check and bun run test before committing. E2E tests (*.e2e.test.ts) need S2_ACCESS_TOKEN.
  • Don't edit packages/streamstore/src/generated/ by hand. Regenerate with bun run gen:openapi or bun run gen:proto.
  • Add a changeset for user-facing changes: patch, or minor with a Breaking: note for breaking changes.
  • Use conventional commit PR titles. The PR title and description become the squash commit.
  • Keep tests few and load-bearing:
    • Test behavior that comes from parts working together (e.g. retries across transports, concurrency, I/O), not what one function plainly does.
    • Don't test a lone guard, branch, or one-line rule. A comment explaining why is better.
    • A test must fail when what it guards breaks. Verify against the base branch, and fail fast instead of hanging.
    • Prefer one test of an invariant over several that restate its steps.
    • Real bugs get regression tests that reference the issue.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
