Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01168 $0.01168
Opus 5.5 $0.00467 $0.00467
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00234 $0.00234
Haiku 4.5 $0.00117 $0.00117

Security

Grade A, and why

caddis-plugin validation-discipline.instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 109 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Validation Discipline

These rules apply whenever an agent is asked to verify, validate, audit, or check the state of files, repositories, or system components. They exist to prevent two classes of error: declaring something missing when it exists, and declaring something clean when it has pending work.

Never declare a file entry missing based solely on a paginated read_file scan.

read_file with line ranges can return truncated or empty results at range boundaries without indicating the file has more content. A "(empty)" return does not mean the target content is absent.

Required protocol:

  • Before writing any FAIL verdict for a missing entry, run a grep_search (or Select-String) targeting the specific term.
  • An empty grep_search result is definitive proof of absence.
  • A partial file read is not.
# ✅ CORRECT: confirm absence
Select-String -Path "docs\port-registry.md" -Pattern "my-service"
# Empty result = entry is absent. Non-empty = entry exists.

# ❌ WRONG: read lines 1-60, see nothing, declare absent

Rule 2 — Use the Primary Signal for Git Push Status

Never infer push status from git log --oneline -N decoration text or from git status.

The decorations (HEAD -> main, origin/main) in a short log are correct, but verifying by visual inspection under context load is error-prone. Dirty working tree output from git status is orthogonal to push status and must not be conflated with unpushed commits.

Required protocol:

  • Use git log origin/main..HEAD --oneline explicitly.
  • Empty output = zero unpushed commits. Non-empty = commits to push.
  • git status and git diff answer a different question (uncommitted changes) — do not use them as push-status signals.
# ✅ CORRECT: definitive push check
git log origin/main..HEAD --oneline
# Empty = nothing to push

# ❌ WRONG: infer from git status showing modified files
# ❌ WRONG: infer from visual inspection of ref labels in git log -3

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
