CLAUDE.md

tour-vibes CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Sagargupta16/tour-vibes. It costs 1,261 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository guide for tour-vibes that adds project-specific instructions to broader workspace guidance. It documents coding conventions and commands for running the Express server, React client, or both together.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing, formatting, or running tour-vibes, especially when starting its development servers or following its file and commit conventions.
Why use it?
It reduces guesswork when changing a project with separate backend and frontend servers. It also clarifies which shared instructions should be read before the repository-specific ones.

Instructions file for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: the file is CLAUDE.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is Sagargupta16/tour-vibes's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on tour-vibes itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything tour-vibes configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is - Root [`CLAUDE.md`](../../CLAUDE.md) -- voice, rules, routing map, references, skills, slash commands, conventions..

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01261 $0.01261
Opus 5 $0.00630 $0.00630
Sonnet 5 $0.00252 $0.00252
Haiku 4.5 $0.00126 $0.00126

Measured 10d ago against content hash aaaeded61801, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

tour-vibes CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 109 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

CLAUDE.md

This file stacks on top of the workspace root at C:\Code\GitHub\:

  • Root CLAUDE.md -- voice, rules, routing map, references, skills, slash commands, conventions.
  • Root MEMORY.md -- live facts across repos.
  • Root STATUS.md -- live PR/CI/security dashboard.
  • .claude/resources/ -- deep reference for collaboration, workflow, git, OSS, debugging, voice.

Read those first. The guidance below only adds repo-specific context -- it does not override anything in the root.

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Rules

  • Every file must stay under 250 lines. If a file approaches this limit, split it into smaller, focused modules.
  • Functional components with hooks (no class components), async/await (no .then chains), ES module-style imports where possible.
  • 3-space indentation (.editorconfig + .prettierrc).
  • Conventional commits: feat:, fix:, refactor:, docs:, chore:.

Development Commands

# Both servers together (from root)
npm run dev

# Individual
npm run server # Express on port 8000 (nodemon)
npm run client # Vite React on port 3000

# Install all deps
npm run install:all

# Build frontend
npm run build

# Format all code
npm run format
npm run format:check # CI-friendly, no writes

Environment Setup

Server: Copy server/.env.example to server/.env:

  • MONGODB_URI -- MongoDB Atlas connection string
  • JWT_SECRET -- required, server won't start without it
  • PORT -- defaults to 8000
  • CLIENT_URL -- defaults to http://localhost:3000 (used for CORS)

Client: Copy client/.env.example to client/.env:

  • VITE_API_URL -- defaults to http://localhost:8000

Architecture

Root package.json uses concurrently to run both packages:

client/ -- Vite + React 19 SPA (Tailwind CSS 4 + shadcn/ui)
server/ -- Express 5 REST API with MongoDB (Mongoose 9)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
