mysql CLAUDE.md

mysql CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from sakiladb/mysql. It costs 3,522 tokens per session, scanned A, original, BSD-3-Clause.

A maintainer guide for a MySQL Docker image containing the Sakila sample database, a common example database for learning and testing. It explains the image's build process, health check, shared release setup, and required database structure.

In plain words
What is it for?
Building and checking the Docker image, verifying that MySQL is ready, maintaining the Sakila tables and views, and coordinating schema changes with sq tests.
Why use it?
It records the compatibility rules needed by the sq command-line tool's tests, so changes to the sample database do not silently break related projects.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03522 $0.03522
Opus 5 $0.01761 $0.01761
Sonnet 5 $0.00704 $0.00704
Haiku 4.5 $0.00352 $0.00352

Security

Grade A, and why

mysql CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Makes network callslowCapability

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Transparent to `gh attestation verify` and Scout; only a raw referrers-API `curl` is affected.

CLAUDE.md

Maintainer guide for sakiladb/mysql — a MySQL Docker image preloaded with the Sakila sample database, published to Docker Hub and GitHub Container Registry.

One of the sakiladb image family (postgres, mysql, mariadb, sqlserver, oracle, clickhouse, rqlite). The release machinery in How releases work is shared across the family (the reference template lives in sakiladb/postgres); the build details in How the image is built are MySQL-specific. The org-level landing page (github.com/sakiladb) is rendered from the sakiladb/.github repo (profile/README.md); edit it there to change the family overview.

Purpose

These images exist primarily as test fixtures for the sq CLI. sq's suite runs against every variant and asserts a uniform Sakila schema, so each image must expose the same object set: 16 tables + 7 views (see The dataset). Treat that as a hard consistency contract.

Because the schema is coupled to sq's tests, a schema change here is a cross-repo change: sq's expectations must be updated in lockstep or its suite breaks against the new image. The relevant sq files are testh/sakila/sakila.go (the canonical AllTbls/AllTblsViews sets and per-table column/count constants), libsq/driver/driver_test.go (per-image table/view counts), and cli/cmd_inspect_test.go.

The dataset

The standard Sakila database, preloaded and owned by the sakila user: 16 tables + 7 views. MySQL Sakila is the origin of the whole family — the other variants are ported from it (via jOOQ) — so this image is the reference, not a port. One trim keeps it consistent with engines that can't easily represent spatial types:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mysql CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository sakiladb/mysql (24 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed BSD-3-Clause. It adds 3,522 tokens to every session, about $0.0176 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
