In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when creating or modifying a skill, updating plugin metadata, following the repository checklist, or running its validation and test commands.
Why use it?
It reduces uncertainty about how this repository is organised and what must be checked before declaring work complete. It also helps keep new skills consistent with the project format.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01102 $0.01102
Opus 5 $0.00551 $0.00551
Sonnet 5 $0.00220 $0.00220
Haiku 4.5 $0.00110 $0.00110

Measured 10d ago against content hash 6a46e18c4cb4, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Claude Skills — Project Instructions

What This Repo Is

A marketplace of Claude Code skills distributed as plugins. Each skill lives under plugins/<name>/ with a standard structure.

Skill Plugin Structure

Every skill follows this exact layout:

plugins/{skill-name}/
├── .claude-plugin/
│ └── plugin.json # Metadata: name, version, description, author, keywords
└── skills/
    └── {skill-name}/
└── SKILL.md # Skill definition with YAML frontmatter (name + description triggers)

Optional: a templates/ directory for supporting materials (see sams-voice for an example).

Current Skills

Skill Purpose
sams-voice Writing voice and style (English/French)
sams-architecture Architectural patterns (Python/DevOps/Embedded/Frontend)
outcome-engineering Outcome-first workflow framing (o16g)
technical-blog-post Technical blog post writing from raw project data
sketch-checker Metal band fascist/NSBM ties research with parallel agent methodology
code-quality Python code quality setup & checks (ruff, mypy, xenon, vulture, pre-commit)
advanced-code-quality Advanced Python quality gates (cognitive complexity, duplication, architecture, dependency hygiene, AI code detection)
code-security Python security scanning — static tools (Bandit, pip-audit) + LLM-powered dynamic analysis

Mandatory Checklist: Adding or Modifying a Skill

When a skill is added, removed, renamed, or has its description changed, ALL of the following files MUST be updated in the SAME commit. No exceptions.

New Skill

  1. Create plugins/{name}/.claude-plugin/plugin.json — follow the exact schema of existing plugins (name, version "1.0.0", description, author Sam Dumont/[email protected], homepage, repository, license MIT, keywords)
  2. Create plugins/{name}/skills/{name}/SKILL.md — YAML frontmatter with name and description (trigger patterns), then full skill content
  3. Add entry to .claude-plugin/marketplace.json in the plugins array — name, source (./plugins/{name}), description, version, author, keywords
  4. Add skill to .github/workflows/release.yml — both in the "Available Skills" list AND the installation commands block
  5. Update README.md:
    • Add row to the "Available Skills" table
    • Add install command in the Installation section
    • Add the skill to the "For Teams" settings.json example
    • Add a description section under "Skill Descriptions"
    • Add the skill to the "Repository Structure" tree
  6. Update CLAUDE.md (this file) — add the skill to the "Current Skills" table above

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
