AGENTS.md

wallet-analytics-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from santhoshraje/wallet-analytics-mcp. It costs 1,333 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A project instruction file for wallet-analytics-mcp, a server that parses Solana wallet swap transactions through JSON-RPC, a standard way to request blockchain data.

In plain words
What is it for?
Setting up, testing, running, and configuring the wallet analytics server, including its Solana RPC connection.
Why use it?
It records the environment, commands, configuration, testing, and rate-limit rules needed to work on the project safely.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01333 $0.01333
Opus 5 $0.00666 $0.00666
Sonnet 5 $0.00267 $0.00267
Haiku 4.5 $0.00133 $0.00133

Security

Grade A, and why

wallet-analytics-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

wallet-analytics-mcp

MCP server that parses Solana wallet swap transactions via JSON-RPC. Outputs structured swap data for copy-trading workflows.

Environment

  • Python 3.10+ required (mcp SDK minimum). System Python 3.9 is too old — use a venv with Python 3.12.
  • python3 -m venv .venv && source .venv/bin/activate
  • pip install -e ".[test]"

Commands

  • Test: pytest (all mocks, no RPC) or pytest -m "not integration" to skip integration tests
  • Coverage: pytest --cov=wallet_analytics_mcp --cov-report=term-missing
  • Run server: SOLANA_RPC_URL=https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com wallet-analytics-mcp

Config

All RPC config via env vars — no hardcoded URLs. See README.md for full parameter table.

Var Default Purpose
SOLANA_RPC_URL Solana public RPC JSON-RPC endpoint
SOLANA_TX_LIMIT 500 Max signatures per wallet
SOLANA_PROCESS_TIMEOUT 120 Seconds before partial return

RPC Rate-Limit Strategy

RpcProfile in provider.py auto-detects public vs paid RPC and applies adaptive settings:

  • Public RPC (api.mainnet-beta.solana.com etc.): sequential fetching, 0.5s per-request delay, 5s HTTP timeout (fail fast on hangs), 10s loop-level pause on first 429
  • Paid RPC (Helius, QuickNode, etc.): parallel batching of 20 requests, 30s HTTP timeout

get_client(profile) caches clients by url:timeout key — public and paid profiles get separate client instances.

Timeout Strategy

Wallet address is validated with Pubkey.from_string() in process_wallet() before any RPC calls or timeout tracking — invalid addresses fail immediately, not after the full process timeout.

Timeout is tracked per-iteration using time.monotonic() in _fetch_sequential and _fetch_parallel. When elapsed time exceeds PROCESS_TIMEOUT (default 120s):

  • The fetch loop breaks gracefully
  • SwapParser.timed_out is set to True
  • Server response includes "partial": true and "partial_reason" describing the timeout
  • Already-processed swaps are returned; un-fetched signatures are silently dropped

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
