Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01232 | $0.01232 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00616 | $0.00616 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00246 | $0.00246 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00123 | $0.00123 |
Grade A, and why
firewalla-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 107 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Firewalla MCP Server POC
What We're Building
A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that talks to a Firewalla Gold via its local API (port 8833), providing READ-ONLY network security tools.
Architecture
- MCP Server (TypeScript, stdio transport) — exposes tools to any MCP client
- Firewalla Client — uses
node-firewallalibrary to talk to the box's local API - Auth — ETP token with public/private keypair (generated via firewalla-tools pairing process)
Target Environment
- Firewalla Gold, router mode, IP: 10.0.1.1, local API on port 8833
- Runs on macOS (same LAN as the Firewalla)
- Node.js 25+
Key Dependencies
node-firewalla(npm) — client library for Firewalla local API@modelcontextprotocol/sdk— MCP server SDK- TypeScript
MCP Tools to Implement (READ-ONLY ONLY)
Phase 1 (complete)
get_alarms— List active security alarms (intrusion attempts, abnormal uploads, etc.)get_devices— List all devices on the network (hostname, IP, MAC, manufacturer, online status)get_network_status— Ping/health check of the Firewalla boxget_device_flows— Get recent network flows for a specific device (aggregate summary)get_network_stats— Basic network statistics (bandwidth, connection counts)search_flows— Search individual flow records with filters (domain, IP, port, category, time range, per-device)get_audit_logs— Blocked/allowed traffic decisions from firewall rules
Implementation note: search_flows / get_audit_logs
These tools use a custom FWMessage (not FWGetMessage) because the Firewalla firmware expects
flow query parameters flat in msg.data, not nested under msg.data.value like FWGetMessage does.
Phase 2 (complete)
get_rules— List firewall rules/policiesget_features— List enabled/disabled featuresget_offline_devices— Devices that went offline recentlyget_dns_queries— DNS query logs (domains resolved by devices)get_vlans— Network segments, VLANs, and network groups
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

firewalla-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository scott-pallas/firewalla-mcp (2 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,232 tokens to every session, about $0.0062 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
