Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00718 | $0.00718 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00359 | $0.00359 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00144 | $0.00144 |

Grade B, and why
mcp-vapi-generic-caller CLAUDE.md scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

CLAUDE.md
This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.
Project Overview
MCP server that lets Claude make AI-powered outbound phone calls via Vapi. This server handles any type of call — customer service, sales, surveys, scheduling, etc. — in any language.
Single-file Python server (server.py) exposing two MCP tools: make_call (initiates call) and get_call_result (polls for outcome).
Commands
uv sync # Install dependencies
uv run python server.py # Run MCP server (stdio transport)
# Or run directly (PEP 723 inline metadata):
uv run --script server.py
# Docker (for HTTP/cloud deployments only)
docker build -t mcp-vapi-caller .
docker compose up
No test suite or linter is configured.
MCP Server Registration
This server is registered in both Claude Code and Claude Desktop via a bash wrapper that sources secrets from a centralized env file:
{
"command": "/bin/bash",
"args": ["-c", "set -a; source ~/.config/mcp/secrets.env; set +a; exec /opt/homebrew/bin/uv run --directory /path/to/mcp-vapi-generic-caller python server.py"]
}
- Secrets file:
~/.config/mcp/secrets.env(chmod 600) - Why wrapper: Claude Desktop is an Electron app that doesn't inherit shell env vars; the wrapper sources secrets at runtime
Architecture
Single-file design — all logic lives in server.py:
- MCP layer: Uses
mcp[cli]/FastMCPto expose tools over stdio - Vapi integration: Builds call payloads with a voice-optimized system prompt, sends them to
api.vapi.ai, and parses results - Prompt assembly:
_build_system_promptcomposes a prompt from building blocks (goal, script, language rules, voice style). The caller provides the domain-specific content; the server adds voice-conversation best practices. - Language support:
LANGUAGE_CONFIGdict provides per-language end-call phrases, goodbye rules, language enforcement, and voice style instructions (fr, en, es, de, it, pt) - Structured extraction: Optional — the calling LLM provides a JSON Schema via
structured_data_schema. If omitted, the call still returns transcript + summary. - Call flow:
make_call→ POST to Vapi → returnscall_id→get_call_resultpolls GET until call ends → returns structured data + transcript + recording URLs
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp-vapi-generic-caller CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository sebastienfi/mcp-vapi-generic-caller (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 718 tokens to every session, about $0.0036 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (asks for root). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
