inclusio: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

inclusio AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from sebastienrousseau/inclusio. It costs 522 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of contribution rules for the Inclusio project. It defines version, release, licensing, file-header, and verification requirements that apply to both people and coding agents.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for guiding code changes and checking releases, including keeping version numbers and related project files consistent. The excerpt does not describe the complete set of checks.
Why use it?
It prevents changes that would break the project's release process, licensing records, or agreement between its version files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00522 $0.00522
Opus 5.5 $0.00209 $0.00209
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00104 $0.00104
Haiku 4.5 $0.00052 $0.00052

Security

Grade A, and why

inclusio AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 19d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md

Invariants for AI-assisted contributions to inclusio. Read this before changing anything.

Everything here applies equally to humans and automated agents. It is addressed to agents because agents can make breaking changes across multiple files before anyone notices.

1. Core Invariants

  1. Strict SemVer sequencing policy: Public releases stay on the 0.0.x line and increment strictly by 0.0.1. Never manually edit version numbers outside the active release branch feat/v<next-version>. v0.1.0 is forbidden until v0.0.999 exists.
  2. Single Active Release PR Invariant: Across all repositories, there MUST be at most ONE active pull request targeting main, which MUST be the release iteration branch feat/v<next-version>.
  3. Dual licensing: The repository is dual-licensed under Apache-2.0 OR MIT. All files must declare an SPDX license header.
  4. Single source of truth: The version in pyproject.toml ([project] version) is the single source of truth. It must agree with glama.json, server.json, CITATION.cff, and CHANGELOG.md (verified by scripts/verify_versions.py).
  5. Deterministic accessibility: All MCP and engine tools (list_docs, audit_pdf, render, doc_count) must preserve accessibility conformance standards (PDF/UA-2, WTPDF, PDF/A-4f) and remain side-effect-safe.

2. Before You Claim To Be Done (Verification Gates)

Before concluding any task or preparing a commit, run:

pytest tests/test_mcp_server.py tests/test_adapters.py
ruff check inclusio/
python3 scripts/verify_versions.py

3. Things That Look Like Bugs and Are Not

  • MCP extra is optional: inclusio works as a standalone CLI without mcp. create_server() raises a clear RuntimeError prompting the caller to install inclusio[mcp].
  • Framework adapters are lazy: inclusio.mcp.adapters exports tools for LangChain, CrewAI, and LlamaIndex without making those heavy packages mandatory dependencies.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
