OpenPlanter: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

OpenPlanter CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ShinMegamiBoson/OpenPlanter. It costs 225 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A task checklist for OpenPlanter, a desktop application built with Rust and Tauri, which combines a native program with a web-based interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing features, investigating failures, checking work in the running application, or preparing a temporary commit.
Why use it?
It reduces missed validation steps and discourages guesses about code or programming interfaces before a task is marked complete.

About the project

OpenPlanter is an investigation agent with desktop and terminal interfaces that examines varied public datasets, links records belonging to the same entities, and presents evidence-based relationships. Investigators use it to explore connections among corporate, campaign-finance, lobbying, government-contract, sanctions, and other records; catalogue add-ons configure or extend its agent workflow.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00225 $0.00225
Opus 5 $0.00112 $0.00112
Sonnet 5 $0.00045 $0.00045
Haiku 4.5 $0.00022 $0.00022

Measured 9d ago against content hash 46e73f007446, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

OpenPlanter CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Stop Checklist

Before completing a task, check each item:

  • Did you take advantage of ALL applicable skills?
  • Did you take advantage of ALL applicable subagents?
  • Don't guess about the state of the code or any APIs unless explicitly asked to
  • If something doesn't work, your first priority must always be determine WHY it doesn't work unless doing so is impossible
  • If you have written or modified code, ensure all components have been deterministically validated to be functioning as intended via breaking up any given process or change into the most granular steps possible and validating the conditions at the entry and exit of each of those steps
  • If you have written or modified a user-facing feature, you MUST launch the actual application (cargo tauri dev) and exercise the feature at runtime before calling it done. Unit tests with mocked IPC/DOM do not catch webview-specific or integration failures.
  • Do not ask the user to perform an action to validate the correctness of your work, you need to validate it yourself
  • If the feature is functionally complete, create a temporary commit now. We'll squash the commits later as needed.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
