docs-mcp CLAUDE.md

docs-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Shreyas-Profile/docs-mcp. It costs 922 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of project-specific instructions for deploying the docs-mcp service to a Hetzner server and making it available at docs.regiq.in. It also documents the server folders, containers, tunnel, and required deployment steps.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when deploying a new version, configuring the docs.regiq.in subdomain for the first time, or checking the relevant server and environment setup.
Why use it?
It gives an agent the exact operational details needed to deploy this service without changing unrelated projects on the shared server.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00922 $0.00922
Opus 5 $0.00461 $0.00461
Sonnet 5 $0.00184 $0.00184
Haiku 4.5 $0.00092 $0.00092

Measured 5d ago against content hash 92087884ec46, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

docs-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Deploying docs-mcp to Hetzner + regiq.in

Deploy pattern for future Claude Code sessions working on this repo.

Server (shared with the rest of the Globalion MCP fleet)

  • SSH: [email protected]
  • Service directory: /opt/docs-mcp/
  • Domain: docs.regiq.in (Cloudflare-tunnelled to docs-mcp-web:3000)
  • Container names: docs-mcp-web, docs-mcp-db
  • NEVER touch other people's folders under /opt/ — see shreyas-onboarding.md §7.

Deploy a new version

From this repo on your dev machine:

tar --exclude=node_modules --exclude=.next --exclude=.git -cf - . \
  | ssh [email protected] "mkdir -p /opt/docs-mcp && tar -xf - -C /opt/docs-mcp/"
ssh [email protected] "cd /opt/docs-mcp && docker compose up -d --build"

First-time subdomain wiring (docs.regiq.in)

  1. Add an ingress rule to /opt/platform/cloudflared/config.yml on the server, BEFORE the final catch-all rule:
    - hostname: docs.regiq.in
      service: http://docs-mcp-web:3000

  2. Restart the tunnel: ssh [email protected] "docker restart platform-cloudflared-1"
  3. Create the DNS CNAME via the tunnel's own creds (no API token needed):
ssh [email protected] "docker exec platform-cloudflared-1 cloudflared tunnel route dns 0caf1caf-59f6-4f36-9ea5-4aa9a9f41d0b docs.regiq.in"

Env vars

Populated on the server via /opt/docs-mcp/.env (NOT committed to git). Per-app secrets are generated fresh; shared secrets come from shreyas-onboarding.md.

  • GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID / GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET — created per-MCP in Google Cloud Console
  • NEXTAUTH_SECRETopenssl rand -base64 32
  • NEXTAUTH_URL=https://docs.regiq.in
  • PUBLIC_BASE_URL=https://docs.regiq.in
  • OPENROUTER_API_KEY — shared Globalion key
  • VISION_MODEL=google/gemini-2.5-flash-lite (default; override for better quality)
  • EMBEDDING_MODEL=openai/text-embedding-3-small (1536 dims — must match Unsupported("vector(1536)") in schema)
  • STRIPE_SECRET_KEY=sk_test_... (from Pawan's Stripe account)
  • STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET=whsec_... (per-endpoint signing secret registered in Stripe dashboard)
  • [email protected]

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
