telegram-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

telegram-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Shreyas-Profile/telegram-mcp. It costs 808 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of deployment instructions for a Telegram service running on a Hetzner server and reachable through the regiq.in domain. It documents the service location, containers, domain setup, environment variables, and deployment commands.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when deploying a new version, configuring telegram.regiq.in, updating the Cloudflare tunnel, or checking the service’s server setup.
Why use it?
It reduces the risk of deploying to the wrong server location or changing unrelated services. It also records the steps for updating the service and connecting its subdomain.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00808 $0.00808
Opus 5.5 $0.00323 $0.00323
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00162 $0.00162
Haiku 4.5 $0.00081 $0.00081

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 20e3ce5162d6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

telegram-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Deploying telegram-mcp to Hetzner + regiq.in

Deploy pattern for future Claude Code sessions working on this repo.

Server (shared with the rest of the Globalion MCP fleet)

  • SSH: [email protected]
  • Service directory: /opt/telegram-mcp/
  • Domain: telegram.regiq.in (Cloudflare-tunnelled to telegram-mcp-web:3000)
  • Container names: telegram-mcp-web, telegram-mcp-db
  • NEVER touch other people's folders under /opt/ — see shreyas-onboarding.md §7.

Deploy a new version

From this repo on your dev machine:

tar --exclude=node_modules --exclude=.next --exclude=.git -cf - . \
  | ssh [email protected] "mkdir -p /opt/telegram-mcp && tar -xf - -C /opt/telegram-mcp/"
ssh [email protected] "cd /opt/telegram-mcp && docker compose up -d --build"

First-time subdomain wiring (telegram.regiq.in)

  1. Add an ingress rule to /opt/platform/cloudflared/config.yml on the server, BEFORE the final catch-all rule:
    - hostname: telegram.regiq.in
      service: http://telegram-mcp-web:3000

  2. Restart the tunnel: ssh [email protected] "docker restart platform-cloudflared-1"
  3. Create the DNS CNAME (needs CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN + CLOUDFLARE_ZONE_ID from shreyas-onboarding.md):
    curl -X POST "https://api.cloudflare.com/client/v4/zones/$CLOUDFLARE_ZONE_ID/dns_records" \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN" \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
      -d '{"type":"CNAME","name":"telegram","content":"0caf1caf-59f6-4f36-9ea5-4aa9a9f41d0b.cfargotunnel.com","proxied":true}'

Env vars

Populated on the server via /opt/telegram-mcp/.env (NOT committed to git). Values live in shreyas-onboarding.md for shared secrets, per-app secrets are generated fresh:

  • GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID / GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET — created per-MCP in Google Cloud Console
  • NEXTAUTH_SECRET — openssl rand -base64 32
  • PUBLIC_BASE_URL=https://telegram.regiq.in
  • NEXTAUTH_URL=https://telegram.regiq.in

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
