Custom AI Agent is a Burp Suite extension that adds AI-assisted security analysis, scanning, and connections to external AI agents through MCP. It is intended for security testers and bug bounty researchers using local or cloud AI providers during manual and automated web-application testing.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00760 | $0.00760 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00380 | $0.00380 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00152 | $0.00152 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00076 | $0.00076 |
Grade A, and why
burp-ai-agent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 67 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Project
Burp AI Agent
A production-grade Burp Suite extension (Kotlin + Montoya API) that embeds an AI reasoning agent with pluggable backends (local + cloud), enforces privacy redaction on outbound traffic, records an auditable history, and exposes Burp operations to external AI agents over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Targets security professionals running Burp Community or Professional on macOS / Linux / Windows.
Core Value: Bring modern AI to a real security workflow without leaking sensitive traffic to third-party providers — privacy controls and an audit trail are non-negotiable, AI capability is additive.
Constraints
- Tech stack: Kotlin (JVM 21), Gradle Kotlin DSL, Burp Montoya API — fixed by ADR-1/2/3.
- Target: Burp Suite Community + Professional 2023.12+, cross-platform (macOS / Linux / Windows).
- Network: MCP server binds to
127.0.0.1by default; external access requires explicit opt-in + bearer token + optional TLS. - Distribution: single fat JAR via
./gradlew shadowJar; artifact nameCustom-AI-Agent-<version>.jar(renamed fromBurp-AI-Agent-*inv0.6.0). - Privacy: STRICT / BALANCED / OFF must all stay user-visible and pre-flight; redaction is hand-curated regex + HKDF host anonymization in STRICT.
- License: MIT — keep dependencies compatible.
- Audit defaults: disabled by default, opt-in verbose mode; hashes only unless verbose is on.
- Languages in code & comments: English only (AGENTS.md non-negotiable).
Technology Stack
Technology stack not yet documented. Will populate after codebase mapping or first phase.
Conventions
Conventions not yet established. Will populate as patterns emerge during development.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
