Responsibilities:
- Analyze and decompose user requests into atomic worker tasks.
- Select the execution lane and invoke one worker at a time.
- Read compact status artifacts and decide continue, retry, stop, or ask the user.
- Surface approval, user-input, and blocker states instead of bypassing them.
Stable entrypoint: tools/invoke-orchestrated-task.ps1.
Workspace: D:\workspace\workspace.

Codex Worker Lanes

app

Implementation: codex app-server --stdio through tools/invoke-codex-app-worker.ps1.
Runtime identity: Codex Desktop/app-server protocol, currently verified as Codex Desktop/0.144.6 on Windows.
Use for coding, file operations, and tasks that may produce app-server tool, approval, or user-input events.
No visible Codex Desktop GUI needs to be open.

automation

Implementation: tools/run-controlled-automation.ps1.
Input: allowlisted JSON plan.
Default: dry-run.
Real browser/Windows actions require an explicit -AllowRealAutomation call and must pass plan allowlists.
Never convert arbitrary natural-language input directly into unrestricted process launches.

code

Implementation: codex exec through tools/invoke-codex-worker.ps1.
Use for legacy isolated code-only work.
Fixed worker defaults remain gpt-5.5, workspace-write, --ephemeral, --json, shell_tool, with unified_exec disabled.

Safety and Configuration

Do not edit C:\Users\chenjinhan\.codex\config.toml.
Do not default to dangerously-bypass-approvals-and-sandbox.
Keep worker artifacts under .orchestrator\ and inspect compact status before raw event logs.
Use PowerShell on Windows and preserve existing user changes.
