prism-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from skyphusion-labs/prism-mcp. It costs 876 tokens per session, scanned B, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Prism MCP, a server that lets coding agents call selected tools from the Prism playground API over the web.

In plain words
What is it for?
They guide work on the server, its tool catalogue, its connection to Prism, and its deployment settings.
Why use it?
They explain how this server fits with the wider Prism software and how it is configured and deployed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00876 $0.00876
Opus 5 $0.00438 $0.00438
Sonnet 5 $0.00175 $0.00175
Haiku 4.5 $0.00088 $0.00088

Measured 8d ago against content hash 3b2fdd077817, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade B, and why

prism-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

identity via `sudo -u <member>`. Conventional Commits; SemVer on the package.

Guidance for Claude Code (and the crew) working in this repo.

What this is

@skyphusion/prism-mcp: MCP door for the Prism playground API. Stateless Streamable-HTTP Worker that proxies curated tools to a prism host (PRISM_URL). Implementation lives here; deploy config is wrangler + secrets only.

Status: v1.0.0 (root package.json / tags / CHANGELOG.md). Estate peers prism, prism-control-plane, prism-ios, prism-android are also at 1.0.0 (2026-08-07).

  • Tool catalog: export const TOOLS in src/mcp-tools.ts (re-count from code if the number drifts).
  • License: MIT (client door). Prism remains AGPL.
  • Version: root package.json / release tags / CHANGELOG.md.

Relation to the stack

Repo Role
This package MCP server + tool catalog (npm + Worker entry) 1.0.0
prism Multimodal playground API (/api/*) 1.0.0
prism-control-plane Metered proxy; used when the prism user has a pcp_ key in prefs 1.0.0
prism-ios / prism-android Native clients 1.0.0

MCP talks to prism, not directly to the control plane. Control-plane spend is whatever the seeded prism session has configured under Account prefs.

Commands

npm run typecheck
npm test
npm run test:coverage
npm run build

Deploy model

  1. npm publish on tag prism-mcp-v* (.github/workflows/publish-npm.yml). Tag must match package.json and be an ancestor of main.
  2. Worker deploy is operator-side: pin the package, maindist/mcp.js, secrets MCP_TOKEN + PRISM_SESSION, var PRISM_URL. See wrangler.mcp.toml.example and docs/mcp.md.

Architecture (load-bearing)

  • Two credentials. Agent presents MCP_TOKEN; Worker forwards prism session cookie. Prism cookie never leaves the Worker.
  • No prism bindings. Pure HTTP to PRISM_URL.
  • Stateless. Video/music/zip jobs: agent polls poll_job / poll_import.
  • One tool, one route (+ prism_request_read / prism_request_write escape hatch; prism_request is a write-only alias). Live WebSocket STT (/api/stt/stream) is out of scope for MCP tools.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
