In plain words
What is it for?
It guides documentation updates, commit and pull-request wording, branch and merge actions, and the required Python checks before a change can be merged.
Why use it?
It prevents contributors and automation from changing protected branches directly or letting English and Simplified Chinese documents drift apart.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00645 $0.00645
Opus 5.5 $0.00258 $0.00258
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00129 $0.00129
Haiku 4.5 $0.00064 $0.00064

Measured 23d ago against content hash 252e1a659910, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

solidworks-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 23d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent instructions /

Language / 语言

  • Repository documents are English-first with Simplified Chinese counterparts. Keep the README, COVERAGE, CONTRIBUTING, RELEASING and license-note pairs in sync; this file carries both languages. Commit messages and pull requests are English-first.

  • User conversations may be in Simplified Chinese. Keep code, identifiers, paths, commands, configuration keys and tool names unchanged. Quote errors before explaining them.

Merge permissions /

  • main is protected. Changes require a pull request and all four offline checks (Python 3.10–3.13); conversations must be resolved. Force pushes and branch deletion are blocked, including for administrators.

  • Automation may create branches, commit, push branches, open pull requests and wait for CI. Do not merge pull requests, push directly to main, or change branch protection. The repository owner (@Slacker-LLC) merges.

Verification /

  • Before code changes, run python -m unittest discover -s tests -p 'test_*.py'.

  • For COM, geometry or SOLIDWORKS-state changes, also run the relevant tests/live_*_regression.py and read back actual geometry, area, volume or native definitions. A return code alone is not proof of success.

  • Pull request descriptions state what changed, why, how it was verified and any remaining gaps. Report failures as failures.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
