Project instructions for a TypeScript server and plugin connected to CellarTracker. They document install, build, test, package, version, privacy, and release rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing the project, running its Vitest tests, checking package versions, or preparing commits and pull requests.
Why use it?
They give the coding agent the repository's required checks and boundaries, including keeping credentials private and leaving releases to a maintainer.

This is slavins-co/cellartracker-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on cellartracker-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything cellartracker-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00306 $0.00306
Opus 5.5 $0.00122 $0.00122
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00061 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00031 $0.00031

Measured 20d ago against content hash 1ecdd368e2c2, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

cellartracker-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

cellartracker-mcp

TypeScript MCP server and Claude Code plugin for CellarTracker. This repo is public: keep personal details, hostnames and credentials out of code, fixtures, commits, PRs and issues.

Commands

  • Install: npm ci (a SessionStart hook runs it automatically in cloud sessions)
  • Build: npm run build
  • Test: npm test (vitest). Run the full suite and read the result before calling work done.
  • Package check: npm run pack:check

Rules

  • On every version bump, run npm run verify-versions. The version lives in package.json, manifest.json, .claude-plugin/plugin.json, .claude-plugin/marketplace.json, server.json (twice) and the npx pin in .mcp.json; the script checks all of them.
  • Read tasks/lessons.md before planning. It holds this repo's technical gotchas.
  • Commit messages, PR titles and bodies, issues and comments carry no AI attribution (no Co-Authored-By trailer, no "Generated with Claude Code" line) and no session shorthand. Write them for a reader who never saw the session.
  • Merges, releases, tag pushes and npm publishes belong to the maintainer. In cloud sessions a hook refuses them: open the PR and stop there.
  • Live CellarTracker calls need credentials that cloud sessions don't have. Work from the tests and fixtures.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
