Claude-Plugin-Marketplace: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

Claude-Plugin-Marketplace CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from southlab-ai/Claude-Plugin-Marketplace. It costs 846 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of maintainer instructions for a marketplace stored as a monorepo, meaning one repository containing multiple related plugins. It describes the plugin folders, registries, prototypes, and version-update process.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding or updating marketplace plugins, changing versions, editing marketplace registries, or checking the repository structure.
Why use it?
It gives maintainers one reference for how the marketplace is organized and which files must be updated when a plugin changes. It also identifies unpublished prototypes so they are not treated as installable plugins.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00846 $0.00846
Opus 5 $0.00423 $0.00423
Sonnet 5 $0.00169 $0.00169
Haiku 4.5 $0.00085 $0.00085

Measured 12d ago against content hash 6dfbfa4263ca, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

Claude-Plugin-Marketplace CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Structure

This is a monorepo marketplace. All plugins live under plugins/ as subdirectories:

Plugin Path Current Version
agent-bridge plugins/agent-bridge/ 0.1.0
upwork-scraper plugins/upwork-scraper/ 0.2.0
the-council plugins/the-council/ 3.2.0
computer-vision plugins/computer-vision/ 2.6.0
ultracodex plugins/ultracodex/ 1.0.0
claude-sentinel plugins/claude-sentinel/ 0.1.0
kg-educacion plugins/kg-educacion/ 3.1.1
repo-orden plugins/repo-orden/ 1.1.0

The Claude Code marketplace registry is at .claude-plugin/marketplace.json. Codex-compatible plugins are also registered in .agents/plugins/marketplace.json.

Prototypes — not published

  • plugins/the-financial-council/ — unpublished research prototype; not installable

When Updating a Plugin

Since plugins live in this repo, updating is straightforward:

  1. Make changes to the plugin code in plugins/<plugin-name>/
  2. Bump the version in all three:
    • plugins/<plugin-name>/.claude-plugin/plugin.json
    • plugins/<plugin-name>/.codex-plugin/plugin.json (when present)
    • .claude-plugin/marketplace.json (the matching plugin entry)
  3. Update README.md version table if changed
  4. Commit and push — one commit, everything stays in sync

When Adding a New Plugin

  1. Create the plugin directory under plugins/<plugin-name>/
  2. Add .claude-plugin/plugin.json inside it
  3. Add at least one real plugin component (skill, command, agent, hook, or MCP server)
  4. Only after the manifest and component exist, add a new entry to the plugins array in .claude-plugin/marketplace.json
  5. For plugins compatible with Codex, add .codex-plugin/plugin.json and a matching entry to .agents/plugins/marketplace.json, including the expected source and policy
  6. Add the plugin to the README table and commands section
  7. Commit and push

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
