- Make changes to the plugin code in
plugins/<plugin-name>/ - Bump the version in all three:
plugins/<plugin-name>/.claude-plugin/plugin.jsonplugins/<plugin-name>/.codex-plugin/plugin.json(when present).claude-plugin/marketplace.json(the matching plugin entry)
- Update
README.mdversion table if changed - Commit and push — one commit, everything stays in sync
When Adding a New Plugin
- Create the plugin directory under
plugins/<plugin-name>/ - Add
.claude-plugin/plugin.jsoninside it - Add at least one real plugin component (skill, command, agent, hook, or MCP server)
- Only after the manifest and component exist, add a new entry to the
pluginsarray in.claude-plugin/marketplace.json - For plugins compatible with Codex, add
