skills: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from specy-ai/skills. It costs 2,766 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for Specy, a toolkit that stores business knowledge in structured files and turns it into requirements or code. They explain how its coding-agent skills are assembled and installed.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to build all or one Specy skill, compile tree-sitter parsers and examples, install the plugin, and work with domain, requirements, and code-extraction skills.
Why use it?
They make it clear how to build the packaged skills and keep generated files in sync with their source templates.

This is specy-ai/skills's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything skills configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02766 $0.02766
Opus 5.5 $0.01106 $0.01106
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00553 $0.00553
Haiku 4.5 $0.00277 $0.00277

Security

Grade A, and why

skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

What This Is

Specy is a DDD toolkit that captures business knowledge in structured DSL files (.prd, .sysreq, .domain, .arch). This repo contains the AI skill definitions, packaged as a single Claude Code plugin named specy. The 13 skills (invoked as specy:<name>) are: 7 core — prd-design, sysreq-design, sysreq-extract-from-code, domain-design, domain-build-code, domain-extract-from-code, domain-refactor — 3 architecture — architecture-design, architecture-extract-from-code, architecture-build-code — 2 synthetic data — synth-design, domain-build-fixtures — plus 1 auxiliary — domain-dialogue. Skills are assembled from modular templates into self-contained dist/skills/<name>/SKILL.md files.

Build Commands

# Build all skills (assembles src/skills/ templates → dist/)
./src/skills/build.sh

# Build a single skill
./src/skills/build.sh domain-extract-from-code

# Build tree-sitter parsers + run smoke tests against examples/
./src/tree-sitters/build.sh # requires: tree-sitter CLI

# Register the parsers in Neovim (writes ~/.config/nvim/plugin/specy-tree-sitter.lua, then checks it)
./src/tree-sitters/sync-nvim.sh

# Regenerate the PRD and SysReq metamodel diagrams (repo root specy-*-metamodel.svg)
./src/diagrams/build.sh # requires: python3 + network on first run (fonts, fontTools)

# Install the `specy` plugin (symlinks dist/ → ~/.claude/skills/specy)
./install-skills-for-user.sh

Architecture

Template Assembly System

Skills are assembled by src/skills/build.sh from modular templates:

  1. Each skill has a src/skills/{skill}/main.md template
  2. Templates use include markers that the build script resolves:
    • <!-- include: path --> — inlines file content as-is
    • <!-- include-code: lang path --> — wraps in a fenced code block
  3. Include paths resolve first relative to the skill directory, then fall back to src/skills/
  4. Output goes to dist/skills/{skill}/SKILL.md

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
