slope CLAUDE.md

slope CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from srbryers/slope. It costs 3,217 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for SLOPE, a monorepo—a code repository containing several related packages—for sprint scoring and operational tracking.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when building, testing, type-checking, or changing SLOPE’s scoring engine, command-line tool, storage adapters, or MCP server.
Why use it?
They explain the package boundaries, shared tooling, commands, and expected communication style so changes fit the larger repository.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.03217 $0.03217
Opus 5 $0.01608 $0.01608
Sonnet 5 $0.00643 $0.00643
Haiku 4.5 $0.00322 $0.00322

Measured today against content hash 03d2585c0ff1, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

slope CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

SLOPE Monorepo

Sprint Lifecycle & Operational Performance Engine — pluggable-metaphor sprint scoring.

General Note on tone and style

  • Call out assumptions.
  • Be Critical, Thoughtful, and Constructive.
  • Ask Questions!!

Monorepo Structure

  • packages/core — scoring engine, types, config, metaphor engine, roles, standup protocol, CI signal parser, store interface, loader (v1.5.0)
  • packages/tokens — shared design tokens (colors, typography, spacing, CSS generation) (v1.5.0)
  • packages/store-sqlite — SQLite storage adapter (v1.5.0)
  • packages/cli — CLI tool (init, card, validate, review, report, briefing, plan, session, standup, escalate, hook, guard, extract, distill, map, dashboard, plugin, flows, initiative) (v1.5.0)
  • packages/mcp-tools — code-mode MCP server (search + execute + session/claim tools) (v1.5.0)

Commands

  • pnpm build — build
  • pnpm test — run all tests (249 files, ~4100 tests; PG store skipped without env var)
  • pnpm typecheck — type check
  • pnpm test:pg — run PostgreSQL store tests (requires local PG, see below)

Toolchain

pnpm is pinned via packageManager in package.json — the single source of truth. CI workflows must not also set version: on pnpm/action-setup; specifying both fails with "Multiple versions of pnpm specified". Run corepack enable once so the pinned version activates automatically; without it, a system pnpm older than 9 fails on the v9 lockfile with ERR_PNPM_LOCKFILE_BREAKING_CHANGE. Never run pnpm install --force to resolve that — it recreates the lockfile. Use corepack pnpm@10 <cmd> if you need a one-off without enabling corepack.

PostgreSQL Store Tests

The store-pg tests require a running PostgreSQL instance. They skip automatically when SLOPE_TEST_PG_URL is unset.

Local (Docker):

docker run -d --name slope-pg -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=slope -e POSTGRES_DB=slope_test -p 5432:5432 postgres:16
pnpm test:pg

CI: GitHub Actions runs a postgres:16 service container and sets SLOPE_TEST_PG_URL automatically — PG store tests always run in CI.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
