Rules

Use Windows paths with forward slashes in bash
Always run npm run typecheck after changes. Plain npx tsc --noEmit checks only src/, and vitest strips types without checking them, so test fakes drift silently without it.
Build test BCConfig objects with makeTestBCConfig(overrides) (tests/helpers/test-config.ts), never a hand-written literal.
Run integration tests after any protocol-level change
ESM project -- use .js extensions in all imports

CRITICAL: Always verify protocol behavior against decompiled BC source.
