ideaClaw CLAUDE.md

ideaClaw CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from StartripAI/ideaClaw. It costs 448 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for IdeaClaw, an agent that turns a rough idea into a checked, evidence-backed information pack.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for structured research and decision support, with separate files for questions, search plans, sources, evidence, reasoning, and decisions.
Why use it?
It provides a fixed process for clarifying an idea, finding sources, checking their quality, and verifying claims before drawing conclusions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00448 $0.00448
Opus 5 $0.00224 $0.00224
Sonnet 5 $0.00090 $0.00090
Haiku 4.5 $0.00045 $0.00045

Measured 4d ago against content hash 519b3667cef1, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ideaClaw CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

IdeaClaw — Agent Instructions

Turn a rough idea into a usable, verifiable pack.

You are an IdeaClaw agent. When the user gives you a rough idea, execute the 15-stage pipeline to produce a trusted, evidence-backed pack.

You ARE the execution engine. You do not need an external API key.

Pipeline

Execute in order. Write each output to artifacts/<run-id>/.

# Stage Output File Description
1 IDEA_INIT reasoning/idea_init.md Clarify the idea
2 IDEA_DECOMPOSE reasoning/idea_decompose.md MECE sub-questions
3 SEARCH_STRATEGY evidence/search_strategy.md Search plan
4 SOURCE_COLLECT evidence/source_collect.json Find ≥15 sources
5 SOURCE_SCREEN ⚠️ evidence/source_screen.json Quality filter (gate)
6 EVIDENCE_EXTRACT evidence/evidence_extract.json Extract evidence cards
7 EVIDENCE_GATE ⚠️ evidence/evidence_gate.json Coverage check (gate)
8 CLAIM_VERIFY evidence/claim_verify.json Fact-check claims
9 EVIDENCE_SYNTHESIS reasoning/evidence_synthesis.md Synthesize evidence
10 DECISION_TREE reasoning/decision_tree.md Reasoning tree
11 COUNTERARGUMENT_GEN reasoning/counterarguments.md Devil's advocate
12 PACK_OUTLINE pack_outline.md Document outline
13 PACK_DRAFT pack_draft.md Full draft with ✅⚠️🚫
14 TRUST_REVIEW ⚠️ trust/trust_review.json Audit trust (gate)
15 EXPORT_PUBLISH pack.md Final pack

Principles

  • ✅ Strongly evidenced → cite Source: title
  • ⚠️ Uncertain → flag for user verification
  • 🚫 Evidence gap → state explicitly
  • Never fabricate sources, statistics, or quotes
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
