multi-harness-agent-template: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

multi-harness-agent-template CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from stephanemalho/multi-harness-agent-template. It costs 258 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Project instructions for a reusable starter structure that lets several coding-agent systems work from one shared source of truth.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to find canonical agent rules, configure Claude Code adapters, and check official guidance before changing Claude-specific files.
Why use it?
They prevent Claude-specific files from duplicating the main project rules and separate committed settings from local machine settings.

Written for Claude Code: the file is CLAUDE.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions subagents; mentions Claude Code.

This is stephanemalho/multi-harness-agent-template's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on multi-harness-agent-template itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00258 $0.00258
Opus 5 $0.00129 $0.00129
Sonnet 5 $0.00052 $0.00052
Haiku 4.5 $0.00026 $0.00026

Measured 8d ago against content hash 8c34e91e2c2d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

multi-harness-agent-template CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

@AGENTS.md

Claude Code Adapter

Claude Code must treat AGENTS.md as the canonical project entrypoint.

Canonical project rules live in:

  • docs/agent-rules/
  • docs/skills/
  • docs/templates/

Claude-specific files under .claude/ are adapters only. Do not duplicate business, architecture, testing, security, workflow, or data-model rules in .claude/ unless the file explicitly explains why Claude needs a special loading or scoping behavior.

Before changing Claude-specific configuration, check the official Claude Code docs:

Important configuration rule:

  • .claude/settings.json is for project settings that may be checked into source control.
  • .claude/settings.local.json is for local machine-specific settings and must not be committed.
  • If a local settings template is needed, use .claude/settings.local.example.json.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
