autonomous-ai-agency: Instructions file for GitHub Copilot

.github/copilot-instructions.md

autonomous-ai-agency copilot-instructions.md is an instructions file for GitHub Copilot from strikersam/autonomous-ai-agency. It costs 381 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A GitHub Copilot instruction file for a software project. It tells coding agents to follow the repository rules and obtain an independent check before reporting work as done.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to guide Copilot while it changes code in this repository. The process applies to features, tests, built pages, and interface changes, with a recorded verdict and evidence.
Why use it?
It prevents agents from relying only on their own claims or on compilation. An independent verifier tests the actual result and requires fixes when it finds defects.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00381 $0.00381
Opus 5.5 $0.00152 $0.00152
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00076 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00038 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

autonomous-ai-agency copilot-instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

GitHub Copilot instructions

The binding ruleset for every agent in this repository is CLAUDE.md §1 and §2. Read it before changing code. The verification rule is repeated here because it gates every "done" claim.

Verification rule (mirrored from CLAUDE.md §2, binding on every agent)

  1. No "done" without an independent verifier (pstack). Before any task is reported done, by a coding agent or by an agency agent, a verifier that did not write the change tries to break it. It exercises the real artifact (runs the feature, the tests, the built page; not "it compiles", not the author's own report) and returns PASS, PASS+NOTES, or FAIL with a report: what it checked, what it found broken, what was fixed, and the evidence (command output; screenshots for any UI change). FAIL sends the work back: fix every defect it found, then verify again, until it passes. Only PASS or PASS+NOTES permits a done claim, and the report quotes that verdict. Work in small units that each end in a check. Agency tasks enforce this in code (tasks/verification.py, live control TASK_VERIFICATION_REQUIRED). Source: pstack's principle-prove-it-works and its independent per-PR verdict (github.com/cursor/plugins/tree/main/pstack, github.com/michael-denyer/pstack-claude). This rule is mirrored byte-for-byte in every agent instruction file; python scripts/check_verification_rule.py fails if a copy drifts.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
