paddling-pl-mcp-server AGENTS.md

paddling-pl-mcp-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from sultan-programistow/paddling-pl-mcp-server. It costs 919 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for a Next.js application that exposes a paddling.pl adventure-shop server through the Model Context Protocol. Next.js is a framework for building web applications.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when developing or reviewing this repository, running its development or build commands, or changing its paddling.pl API calls and MCP route.
Why use it?
They point out version-specific rules and build requirements that are easy to miss, including the MCP endpoint, the required build and type-check step, and the lack of test or lint scripts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00919 $0.00919
Opus 5 $0.00460 $0.00460
Sonnet 5 $0.00184 $0.00184
Haiku 4.5 $0.00092 $0.00092

Security

Grade A, and why

paddling-pl-mcp-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 63 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

This is NOT the Next.js you know

This version has breaking changes — APIs, conventions, and file structure may all differ from your training data. Read the relevant guide in node_modules/next/dist/docs/ (resolved from this file's directory; in monorepos the next package may not be visible from the repo root) before writing any code. Heed deprecation notices.

This block is written and re-added by next dev — verify at node_modules/next/dist/server/lib/generate-agent-files.js. Removing it from a diff only re-creates the uncommitted change; committing it with your work keeps the tree clean.

paddling.pl MCP server

Next.js 16 (App Router) app that exposes a Model Context Protocol server at /api/mcp (Streamable HTTP transport) for the paddling.pl adventure shop. The only real code is app/api/mcp/route.ts; app/page.tsx is a static landing page. CLAUDE.md just imports this file.

Commands

  • npm run dev — dev server on http://localhost:3000
  • npm run buildnext build; this is the build/typecheck gate (no lint or test scripts exist)
  • npm run inspect — launch MCP Inspector at http://127.0.0.1:6274; connect to http://localhost:3000/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP) to exercise tools
  • npx tsc --noEmit — standalone typecheck (tsconfig sets strict: true)

mcp-handler 2.x API

app/api/mcp/route.ts uses the mcp-handler 2.x API: server.registerTool(...) with an inputSchema that takes a full Standard Schema (z.object({...})), inside createMcpHandler(..., { serverInfo }), exporting the handler as GET/POST. There is no basePath (the handler is mounted at the route's own path) and no Redis. Requires @modelcontextprotocol/server (v2) and zod ^4.

paddling.pl API calls

All outgoing HTTP requests to the paddling.pl API must go through the fetchJson(url) helper in app/api/mcp/route.tsnever call fetch directly. fetchJson enforces the anti-hammering throttle (~3 req/s, 333 ms min interval) and shared error handling for all real API calls.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
