Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00774 | $0.00774 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00310 | $0.00310 |

Grade A, and why
mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 61 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
See AGENTS.md for the full guide to working in this repository: the one-core/two-front-ends rule and the golden byte-parity contract, the repository map, the bundled generated data and its staleness gates, the ADR-10 grammar security rule, build & test commands, and how to treat untrusted input.
Core principle: dependencies change only on explicit instruction
Dependencies may only be changed by explicit instruction from the maintainer. This covers every dependency this repository declares, in every runtime and every manifest:
package.jsondependencies, peerDependenciesanddevDependencies, and their lockfiles;go.modrequireandreplacelines, their versions, andgo.sum;Cargo.tomldependency tables andCargo.lock;- any other manifest here, nested test modules included.
Adding, removing, re-pointing or re-versioning any of them is a dependency change.
- A dependency never arrives as a side effect. Watch for an import,
go mod tidy, npm install, cargo update, a stamped template, or a fix for something else. If a change would alter a dependency, stop and ask before making it. Do not make it and explain afterwards. - An explicit instruction names the change, for example "bump the parser requirement in X to 0.12" or "cascade the parser release". A goal is not an instruction for its means. "Make CI green", "ship the C library" or "fix the build" does not authorise a dependency change, however direct the route through one looks.
- This repository's own version sites are not dependencies. They include the root entry of its own lockfile. A release bump moves them.
- Versions track the latest release. Every dependency is kept at its latest published version, and none is held on an older one. That is the maintainer's standing instruction, so moving a dependency to its latest version needs no further one. Holding a dependency back, or adding, removing or re-pointing one, still does.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository tabnas/mcp (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 774 tokens to every session, about $0.0031 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
