backpack-plus: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

backpack-plus CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from teakzc/backpack-plus. It costs 3,623 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for developing a Roblox library written in TypeScript and compiled to Lua. They document build, watch, lint, runtime, and UI component workflows, including known gaps in linting and automated tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
They are for building and watching the project, syncing it with Roblox Studio, running runtime harnesses, and working with its component storybook.
Why use it?
They tell contributors how to verify changes when ordinary tests are unavailable and identify tooling limitations that could affect checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03623 $0.03623
Opus 5 $0.01811 $0.01811
Sonnet 5 $0.00725 $0.00725
Haiku 4.5 $0.00362 $0.00362

Security

Grade A, and why

backpack-plus CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Commands

npm run build # compile TypeScript → Lua via rbxtsc
npm run watch # compile in watch mode (rbxtsc -w)
npm run dev # compile as a game place, watch mode
npx eslint src/ # lint — currently broken, see note below

Known gap: npx eslint src/ fails outright (eslint.config.js not found). package.json pins ESLint 9, but the repo still ships the legacy .eslintrc format, which ESLint 9 can't read without a compat shim. Needs either a flat-config migration or a pin back to ESLint 8 before lint is usable again.

There is no automated test suite. Development and verification happen inside Roblox Studio: build, sync with Rojo (default.project.json), then play.

  • UI-Labs storybooksrc/tests/storybook/ (backpack.storybook.ts plus *.story.tsx) is the component dev loop.
  • Runtime harnessessrc/tests/client/runtime.client.tsx and src/tests/server/runtime.server.ts are demo entry points that exercise the library end to end. They are harnesses, not assertions.

Architecture

backpack-plus (@rbxts/backpack-plus, v2.0.0-rc.1) is a published npm package that replaces the default Roblox inventory/backpack UI. It compiles TypeScript to Lua via roblox-ts and runs inside Roblox. Inspired by ryanlua/satchel.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
