Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00346 $0.00346
Opus 5 $0.00173 $0.00173
Sonnet 5 $0.00069 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00035 $0.00035

Measured 4d ago against content hash d5838b27e83a, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

shopify-rules CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

shopify-rules

A collection of AI-consumable rules for Shopify Liquid theme development, plus skills to create more.

Project structure

  • rules/INDEX.md -- master index of all rules
  • rules/BACKLOG.md -- pending topics discovered but not yet written as rules
  • rules/<category>/ -- rule files organized by category (folders created as needed)
  • shopify-themes/ -- optional user-supplied Shopify themes for research (gitignored)

Available skills

  • /discover-rule-topics <optional focus> -- mine themes for patterns, enrich the backlog
  • /research-shopify-rule <topic> -- deep cross-theme research, produce a thorough rule (5 phases)
  • /quick-rule <topic> -- fast rule creation from official docs (3 phases)

Overlap detection

Before creating a rule, check for overlap at three levels:

  1. existing-coverage.md (in skill references) -- static summary of Horizon's 43 cursor rules
  2. rules/INDEX.md -- rules already written in this repo
  3. shopify-themes/horizon/.cursor/rules/ -- live scan if Horizon theme is present

Guidelines

  • Rules are standalone markdown files. Do not reference project-specific paths within rule content.
  • Never invent Liquid filters, tags, or objects. Only use what exists in Shopify's Liquid implementation.
  • Use {% liquid %} blocks for multiline logic in code examples.
  • Create category folders on-the-fly as needed when writing rules.
  • Source references use relative theme paths (e.g., dawn/snippets/price.liquid) or Shopify doc URLs.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
