Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00465 $0.00465
Opus 5 $0.00233 $0.00233
Sonnet 5 $0.00093 $0.00093
Haiku 4.5 $0.00047 $0.00047

Measured 5d ago against content hash 0d00c1ed03e4, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

Indiamart-mcp-server CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

IndiaMART MCP Server

MCP server that connects Claude to IndiaMART's Lead Management API, enabling sellers to manage buyer leads via natural language.

Architecture

mcp_server.py <- Single entry point (FastMCP, CLI args)
  └── mcp_tools/
      ├── tools.py <- 10 MCP tool implementations (register_all_tools)
      ├── schemas.py <- Pydantic input validation
      ├── http_client.py <- IndiaMART API client with retry/backoff
      ├── database.py <- SQLite async operations (aiosqlite)
└── auth.py <- API key helpers (single source of truth)

Setup

pip install -r requirements.txt
cp .env.example .env
# Edit .env with your INDIAMART_API_KEY and INDIAMART_GLID

Running

python mcp_server.py # stdio (default, for Claude Desktop/Code)
python mcp_server.py --transport sse # HTTP SSE mode
python mcp_server.py --health # Check DB connectivity
python mcp_server.py --version # Show version

Testing

pytest tests/ -v
ruff check .

Key Conventions

  • All tools registered via register_all_tools(mcp) in tools.py
  • Input validation: Pydantic models in schemas.py
  • Response formatting: tool_error() and tool_success() helpers in http_client.py
  • Date formats accepted: YYYY-MM-DD, DD-MM-YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, DD-Mon-YYYY
  • Pipeline stages: new, contacted, qualified, proposal, negotiation, won, lost
  • Database: SQLite via aiosqlite, lazy-initialized on first tool call
  • API key: loaded from env via auth.py, used by http_client.py

Out of Scope

  • saas/ — Separate FastAPI SaaS web platform (multi-tenant, PostgreSQL, Redis). Not part of the MCP server.
  • webhook.py — Standalone FastAPI webhook receiver. Not part of the MCP server.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
