gollm AGENTS.md

gollm AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from teilomillet/gollm. It costs 294 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of project instructions for gollm, a Go codebase, covering how to build packages, run tests, follow code patterns, and manage branches. Go is a programming language commonly used for services and command-line tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing gollm code, running all or selected tests, building packages, checking provider-dependent tests, and preparing branches for merging.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents the repository’s expected commands and conventions, including how to handle tests that need optional providers or API keys.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00294 $0.00294
Opus 5 $0.00147 $0.00147
Sonnet 5 $0.00059 $0.00059
Haiku 4.5 $0.00029 $0.00029

Measured 5d ago against content hash 580fa5981ebf, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

gollm AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Build & Test Commands

# Build all packages
go build ./...

# Run all tests
go test ./...

# Run tests for specific package
go test github.com/teilomillet/gollm/llm -v

# Run specific test
go test -run TestMemoryGetMessages github.com/teilomillet/gollm/llm -v

Git Workflow

  • Rebase before merging: Always rebase feature branches onto main before merging to keep a clean, linear history. Use git rebase main or squash commits with git rebase -i to consolidate related changes.
  • Squash feedback fixes: When addressing PR feedback, consider squashing fix commits into the original feature commits before merging.
  • Delete merged branches: Clean up feature branches after merging.

Code Style

  • Follow Go conventions and existing patterns in the codebase
  • Use interfaces for extensibility (e.g., MemoryCapable over concrete types)
  • Write comprehensive tests, skip gracefully when providers unavailable
  • Deep copy data structures to prevent shared state issues

Testing Notes

  • Tests using lmstudio provider will skip if LM Studio is not running
  • Tests requiring API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI) will skip if keys are not set
  • Use createTestLLM helper pattern to skip tests gracefully
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
