Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00584 $0.00584
Opus 5 $0.00292 $0.00292
Sonnet 5 $0.00117 $0.00117
Haiku 4.5 $0.00058 $0.00058

Security

Grade A, and why

hotwire_club-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Maintenance Guide

This repository contains Hotwire skills under skills/ and a sync script that copies source articles into each skill's references/ directory.

Primary Workflow

1) Sync references from corpus

Run:

ruby scripts/sync-references.rb

What this does:

  • Reads config/supertopic-mapping.yml
  • Copies new mapped articles from corpus into skills/hwc-*/references/ (already-synced references are skipped so post-sync normalization is preserved)
  • Rebuilds references/INDEX.md per skill

To deliberately overwrite every reference with the raw corpus version (discarding normalization), run FORCE_SYNC=1 ruby scripts/sync-references.rb.

2) Normalize skills after sync

After syncing, ensure each skill still follows repository structure standards.

For each skill directory skills/hwc-*/:

  • Keep SKILL.md frontmatter to name and description only
  • Keep SKILL.md body lean and procedural:
    • Core Workflow
    • Guardrails
    • Load References Selectively
    • Escalate to Neighbor Skills
  • Keep full examples in references/*.md (not in SKILL.md)
  • Keep agents/openai.yaml present with:
    • interface.display_name
    • interface.short_description
    • interface.default_prompt (must mention $skill-name)

For references:

  • Keep references/INDEX.md aligned with existing files
  • Ensure long reference docs (over 100 lines) include ## Table of Contents
  • Keep migrated pattern sections (## Pattern Card: ...) when applicable
  • Remove stale references to deleted/unsupported articles

Validation Checklist

Before committing:

# No backup artifacts
find skills -type f \( -name '*~' -o -name '.*undo-tree*' \)

# Long references should have TOC
for f in skills/*/references/*.md; do \
  [ "$(basename "$f")" = "INDEX.md" ] && continue; \
  lines=$(wc -l < "$f"); \
  if [ "$lines" -gt 100 ]; then rg -q '^## Table of Contents' "$f" || echo "MISSING_TOC $f"; fi; \
done

# Spot check unresolved deleted references
rg -n '2024-08-27-turbo-frames-flash' skills

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
