Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01516 $0.01516
Opus 5.5 $0.00606 $0.00606
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00303 $0.00303
Haiku 4.5 $0.00152 $0.00152

Security

Grade A, and why

patrika AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project

Patrika is a notebook-inspired personal publishing theme built with Astro.

It is not a blog theme.

The design draws inspiration from:

  • commonplace books
  • field notebooks
  • literary journals
  • printed magazines
  • index cards
  • marginalia

The goal is to create a calm reading experience where typography and whitespace take precedence over decoration.

Principles

Content First

Content is the product. Components exist only to present content. Never introduce UI that competes with the writing.

Editorial, not Application

Patrika should feel edited rather than engineered. Avoid dashboards, cards with heavy chrome, widgets, badges, statistics or application-like interfaces. Prefer layouts inspired by books and magazines.

Quiet Interfaces

Every element should justify its existence. When uncertain, remove rather than add. Whitespace is a design element.

Typography is Layout

Hierarchy should primarily come from:

  • typography
  • spacing
  • rhythm
  • alignment

Avoid relying on borders, shadows or colors to create structure.

Components are Editorial Primitives

Components represent publishing concepts.

Good:

  • Section
  • SectionHeader
  • LeadEntry
  • EntryList
  • EntryListItem
  • NotesGrid
  • NoteCard
  • ImageFigure
  • Callout

Avoid:

  • HeroCard
  • FancyPost
  • FeatureWidget
  • ContentBox

Architecture

Pages compose sections.

Sections compose editorial components.

Editorial components render content.

Utilities format data.

Example:

Page └── Section ├── LeadEntry └── EntryList └── EntryListItem

Keep responsibilities small.

Content Collections

Collections represent content types.

Examples:

  • posts
  • notes
  • pages

Collections should never know about presentation.

Presentation belongs to components.

Styling

Use Tailwind utilities.

Prefer composition over custom CSS.

Avoid deeply nested selectors.

Avoid utility duplication by extracting reusable components rather than creating utility classes.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
