Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01142 | $0.01142 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00571 | $0.00571 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00228 | $0.00228 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00114 | $0.00114 |
Grade A, and why
claude-crowed CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 83 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Architecture
MCP server exposing 14 tools for persistent semantic memory. Claude stores/retrieves knowledge across sessions via these tools.
Data Flow
- Store: Text →
embed_document("search_document: {title}\n{content}")→ 768-dim vector → SQLite + sqlite-vec. Returns{id}. - Search: Query →
embed_query("search_query: {query}")→ vec0MATCH→ ranked results (titles only) - Read: Fetch full content by ID (each read is tracked in the
memory_accessestable) - Recall: Combines search + read in one call. Returns full content for top-k results + titles for the rest. Preferred over search+read for fewer round trips.
- Related: Finds semantically similar memories via embedding nearest-neighbor lookup (dynamic, no stored links).
The search_document:/search_query: prefixes are required by the nomic-embed-text-v1.5 model.
Key Modules
server.py— FastMCP tool definitions + CLI entry point. Tools are thin wrappers aroundMemoryStoremethods._init_server()starts background model loading, creates DB, takes startup backup.memory_store.py— Core CRUD, search, recall, versioning, import/export. All business logic lives here.store()returns a dict ({id}on success,{error}on failure). Other methods return Pydantic models ordictwith"error"key on failure.embedding.py— Lazy model loading in a background thread (start_loading()+threading.Event). Model loads during MCP handshake so first tool call doesn't block. CPU-only by default.db.py— Schema definition,get_connection()loads sqlite-vec extension. WAL mode, foreign keys enabled.models.py— Pydantic response models.proxy.py—McpReloadProxy: stdio proxy that watches.git/refs/heads/for commits and restarts the child MCP server, replaying the MCP init handshake. Used byclaude-crowed dev.visualizer.py— FastAPI backend for the web visualizer. Serves graph data (nodes + dynamic similarity edges from nearest-neighbor queries), memory detail, search, delete/undelete. Auto-builds frontend ifdist/is missing or stale. Serves the built frontend fromvisualizer/dist/.visualizer/(project root) — React + Vite + TypeScript frontend. Usesreact-force-graph-2dfor force-directed graph rendering. Dark theme. Search bar, detail panel on click, delete/restore actions.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

claude-crowed CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository TheNewJavaman/claude-crowed (0 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 1,142 tokens to every session, about $0.0057 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
